I found this to be a fun and interesting project. With a little tweaking I got it to work very well. All of the construction advice I've read on this product seems appropriate from my own experience. I guess I would add the following, in no particular order. ONE: Don't be afraid to use glue, but be careful with it, because you might have to fiddle with the placement of the part after it's put together, so be careful in that regard. TWO: some parts are very dainty and can break easily; I found toothpicks to be a good tool for gently poking these out. THREE: be patient! You have to put these puzzles together at your own speed. As with any build-out, if you rush it, it will show in the end.

I really enjoyed putting this kit together , altho the pieces are very thin an fragile it definitely requires a lot of patients and care putting together . I found the use of needle nose pliers necessary to press many of the parts together to avoid breaking them . Even though they say no glue is needed , foresight tells me many of the parts will come loose before its completed , so I used small amounts of wood glue on most of the joints pressed together . Especially on the tracks an rails , wasn't necessary for the steel pins . Also needed glue on all the steps to keep the spiral track in place , once completed everything worked fine , works best on a level surface . Fun project if you take your time , but probably to fragile and complicated for younger children , some of the directions are a little vague and not quite clear .

You really need to pay attention to the details. (Part numbers and orientation)The lifter system is a little touchy. You have to sand the front and backs of the lift boxes so they slide smoothly. I had to engineer a small piece of paper clip to the first lifter so that it would only load one marble at a time. Without it, the lifter would load two marbles and one would fall off higher up. I loved building this marble maze! All the pieces are clearly marked and the instructions are simple to follow. Nice that there are a few extra of some of the pieces, in case you need them. Can't wait to make another one.

My husband purchased this for me as a gift. I’m in the middle of assembling it. Before I began assembly, I painted it in fluorescent colors. Acrylic markers work well without adding unnecessary layers. I also purchased the Marblecity motor to see if I can motorized it. Can’t wait to purchase the next one (503). The Facebook/Instagram/YouTube pages for ROKR are awesome.

I just finished this & it works great. The laser cutting is very good & the instructions are easy to follow. I did have to do some tweeking after construction to adjust levels and such but I did expect that. I am purchasing the clock kit now & I will be ordering additional kits in the future. Rokr makes a great product. Thanks!

Just finished this and it work great. You have to be very careful when working with some of the more delicate parts (I broke the spiral but no problem Hello Elmers!! Take your time with this. Sometimes you have to sand down some of the flashing as it may interfere with the matching of parts or sub-assemblies. I've included a pic of a modification I did. Sometimes the marbles will sit in the 'staging area'. The pic shows how I took an exacto blade to make a more smoother transition from the staging area to the pickup wheel. Hope this helps. Otherwise it's a cool item. I'm getting hooked on these puzzle-kits. Hope everyone else has as much fun putting these together.

I seriously underestimated the complexity of building this puzzle, and throughout the process I was concerned that it would not work because it is quite delicate and I even though we enjoyed the build, was sure we made a mistake somewhere.BUT it runs beautifully! It is fun to build after you get the hang of following the instructions to minute detail, and SO MUCH FUN TO PLAY WITH. Children and adults can not stop turning that handle, it has a most enjoyable clicking sound when the marbles run and fall.

Over many years I've assembled various mechanical kits with varying degrees of accomplishment. But this wooden "Puzzle" was unique for me. It was amazingly FUN to build! First, it's not really a "Puzzle". There's nothing hidden for you to solve. It's a mechanical "marble run" that you completely assemble with all the supplied laser-precut-wood pieces using pages of assembly pictorials. All the wooden parts are numbered, and if you *FAITHFULLY follow each pictorial, the 7 flat, pre-cut sheets of wood will be transformed into a fully functioning Mable Run Machine. The manufacture (Rokr) makes other wooden kits doing different things and I've ordered another! Highly recommended.--*Note: I said "FAITHFULLY follow each pictorial". The assembly instructions are not word driven. There are no printed words like "Take part A7 and insert it together with part B9". Nope. Instead there are only a series of pictorials that visually show the assembly of each numbered part. Just take your time and make sure you carefully follow each one and it will all come together nicely! Have fun!

Great gift idea. Got this for my 19 year old son for Christmas. He spent about 4 to 5 hours assembling the puzzle. Extra pieces are included for commonly broken pieces during assembly. Occasionally the metal ball needs moved so they don’t go in the same sections.

My wife got this for me and it has turned out to be a good stress reliever as well as conversation piece. Be patient, follow the directions and use glue sparingly. Everything went together fairly easily until the end when installing the rail assemblies. Go slow and glue them on. Overall, though, a lot of fun and an interesting piece. There are extras of the small parts but the laser cutting is very precise and the pieces come out with only a little finesse.

  1. This was fun to assemble, but a bit of a challenge. It took a bit of pressure to put some of the pieces together, resulting in some broken pieces. Fortunately, they did include spare pieces for those that were likely to break. Unfortunately, those weren’t the only ones that broke. Keep some Elmer’s glue and an X-Acto knife handy. It did work well when finished.

I had a lot of fun assembling this puzzle. Most of the instructions were very good but there was some inconsistencies. Instruction 44 Part B 31 shows the slope angle being faced up step 45 shows the angle opposite as the previous step.

My husband really enjoyed this gift. He enjoyed building it and then eventually showing the grandkids how to make it work. Only draw back, and they do warn of this is that pieces can break rather easily when putting it together. He was always able to figure it out, and there are some extra pieces. We would still buy another one like again. If you hate figuring things out like a puzzle, you may not enjoy putting it together. But that was not the case here.

My 11yr old nephew’s favourite Christmas present. A good project for him and his dad. The pieces are fragile - those that broke were easily repaired with a bit of wood glue. Functioned as promised.
