FamilySavingsOutlet |
Personally, I do not like to spend a ton of money on kid's software.
Family Savings Outlet has been a great find for me. I love a lot of
the educational software that they offer and for $4.95 each, it is a great
deal.

The Freddi Fish Series
(review):
Both of my children, ages 4 and 6 love these programs and so do I. It
helps to develop their higher order thinking skills and their observational
skills. When my daughter first started this series it took her a
little while to figure out how to proceed. That is part of the beauty
of the game. She was able to fuse her logical reasoning skills to
deduce what was needed to complete the game. Luckily there are several
Freddi Fish programs to choose from. |
| Reader Rabbit (review):
We are also big fans of the Reader Rabbit
programs. I feel that their developmental progression is very
appropriate. They are not as engaging for my children as some other
programs, but I think that the way that they are structured really helps
with their learning. |
Cyber Chase: Carnival
Chaos (review):
Maybe I was just a little to ambitious with this program. My children
really like this TV program, so I thought I would give the CD rom and try.
Well, the recommended age for this program is 8 to 11 and I think they are
right. Most of the different games were too sophisticated for my kids
at ages 4 and 6. I didn't think that the 4 year old would be able to
use it, but I thought the 6 year old would have a shot. Most of the
games were over her head and therefore frustrated her. I believe I
will be sticking with the correct age lever from now on. |
