In yesterday’s Wordless WednesdayI shared this picture. This is a picture that I took last week while going for a nice walk in our neighborhood with my kids. Winter weather finally seems to be at an end and spring is slowly emerging. This lake is one of my favorite things about our neighborhood.
On this particular day, we saw a family of ducks with the mom, dad and three ducklings swimming together and looking for food. It is wonderful to be able to experience this little bit of nature whenever we want to. We share some wonderful times at this lake.
The only ducks we see are in our living room! The girls take them “swimming” in our bathtub twice a day. They are heading to a lake this weekend. I hope it really does reach 70 today!

I guess the mommy duck was taking a walk/swim with her ducklings too – I wonder what they were thinking when they saw you.
Thanks for stopping by! My father draws immense pleasure from torturing my boyfriends, he says its the only thing that keeps him sane at the thought his little girl is old enough to go out with boys. That I am almost 30 does little to deter him.
Oh that’s lovely. My kids would be breaking out some fishing poles or diving in and ruining the moment for sure! LOL
