I just had to snap this picture today. I love when my kids play together imaginatively. Here they are playing school.

I just wanted to share a day after Christmas picture. The big gift this year was this Star Wars Lego set. Hubby and the kids worked on putting this together for over 3 hours straight. Fun times.

This weekend we were very busy around here trying to finish up getting ready for the holidays. The kids and I got to spend some fun time together making cut-out sugar cookies. We are going to give a bunch to their teachers and made some especially for them. You can see there are music notes for the music teachers and some different sports ones for the PE teacher.
I thought I had a paint brush cookes cutter that we would use for the art teacher, but I was wrong. I am going to have to think of something different for her, maybe figure out a way to make my own cookie cutter.

My friend, Melitsa, over at Play Activities is having a wonderful contest that you will love. It is all about help your young child develop their senses.
The prize is this very cool Sensory Garden Dome:

Check out the details of the contest here!

I mentioned a few days ago that the kiddos and I were making great grandma’s gift this year. Well, we finished! I think it came out pretty good for our first try. Here we are working on Great Grandma’s gift.
Hannah modeled it for me so that I could show you the results. ![]()

Chele, over at Moms Love Shopping, is holding a very special contest. All you have to do is enter your child into the Critters Who Care Birthday Club. There is absolutely no cost. One lucky entrant will win the Hope Bear and everyone that enters will get a $5 Gift Card to Fun on the Ark.
This contest is very special because for every 10 entries a Hope Bear will be donated to a child who has a parent in a hospice program. Let’s help bring a little comfort to a child about to loose a parent and spread the word about this wonderful contest.
This has to be one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time. I think it has been around for a little while, but I must be living under a rock because I just saw it for the first time this weekend. Enjoy!
I have had the hardest time coming up with gifts for one of my kids’ great grandmothers. I am very happy to say that they are blessed with two. I finally figure that this grandmother would really love something made by the kids, so here is what we are doing.

We are making her a hat and scarf using this really cool knitting hoop that I bought at JoAnn’s. Even Eli can do it. We finished the hat, and I am happy to say that it came out pretty good. We are now moving onto a scarf.
I am going to include pictures of the kids working on them with the gift so that she knows that they really did help to make them. They come out that good.
Here is the loom that I bought at JoAnn’s

I am having fun making them too. I am thinking about making some more gifts. I also like it because it keep my hands busy while I am watching TV at night with hubby so I don’t have the temptation to snack. Bonus!
Happy Birthday To Willa!
This Saturday Willa, our Springer Spaniel, turned one. The kiddos were so excited to baker her doggie cup cakes. We decided on carrot and peanut butter and invited a couple of neighbor friends over to sing “Happy Birthday.”

She didn’t seem to crazy about the party hat the kids made, but

She loved the cupcake!
